Furthermore, in case of Hague applications, some countries are very particular about use of words which are acceptable in their system. A rejection on an application can put you back several months besides incurring financial loss and the risk of an adverse judgment. For instance, when requesting a Hague service in Taiwan you should always name the country as Taiwan China otherwise the Chinese authorities would most likely reject your application. A simple translator not having experience with translations of legal documents and international service of process is most likely going to make this mistake.
