Service Instructions for Process Servers:
  1. Carefully print all pages ensuring the ones required to be printed in colour are printed in colour.
  2. Place the documents in an envelope and seal the envelope. Paste a clearly labelled title on the envelope with name of the servee and the words ‘Private and Confidential’.
  3. Please keep a printout of Acknowledgment of Service outside of the sealed envelope and ask servee to date and sign (and stamp where applicable) this page. Bring back the signed copy with you and send us a clear scan of this page.
  4. Take photos of address signboard(s) where applicable.
  5. In case of residential addresses, spread the service attempts over morning, evening, and night with at least one attempt on Saturday (early morning) for non-rush serves.
  6. In case of business addresses, attempt during normal working hours.
  7. All 3 attempts for standard non-rush serves must be completed within 5 business days of receiving instructions. Furthermore, status must be reported back within 3 business days of receiving instructions. In case of unexplained delays, we may cancel the engagement and reassign without notice.
  8. In case you do not find a servee at the address, you MUST make reasonable enquiries from the current residents, any building security or janitorial staff and at least two persons in the neighborhood.
  9. You must report to us with all details from service attempts as soon as practicable after the attempts.
  10. Do not attempt service at an alternate address without first notifying us and without seeking our formal approval.
  11. If a servee refuses to accept the documents, you are required to leave the documents in their presence and tell them briefly what these are about.
  12. We may require you at any point of time to notarize an affidavit of service, get an apostille and/or attend a court hearing in connection with documents served by you.
  13. You MUST NOT contact our clients or any third parties named in the service pack for any purpose related to service of documents or for an ancillary purpose (such as to ask for driving directions or to ask for a new address), unless instructed by us.
  14. You must ensure all data related to our jobs is securely held in compliance with local regulations. In case of non-serves, you MUST ensure the printed documents are securely destroyed on a timely basis.
  15. You must ensure compliance with regulations related to service of documents, privacy, and data protection.
  16. You must ensure having an insurance coverage in place covering process serving activities in your jurisdiction.
